Coined by economist Jim O'Neil from Goldman Sachs in 2001, BRIC refers to the major emerging economies of Brazil, Russia, India, and China.

Business Risk International Consulting (BRIC) was founded in 2014 by a team of seasoned industry professionals who wanted to take a global approach to business risk mitigation and consulting as a whole. They selected Business Risk International Consulting-- or BRIC as the acronym -- for their endeavor to keep the business' roots firmly planted in international business, as well as serving U.S. domestic businesses. As business become more global, it's becoming more difficult to separate international and domestic businesses.
